Description

He makes sweet the new sexy.

Sugar Rush Candy Company CEO Luke Stone is a devoted businessman who doesn't do relationships. He does short-term affairs with clearly defined rules. But when a sexy bohemian sweetheart propositions him in a bar, Luke is tempted to want more.

Polly Lockhart is horrified when she wakes the morning after her twenty-fifth birthday to realize she made a fool of herself with a sinfully delicious man. She tells herself she doesn't have time for romance anyway, as she's fighting to keep her mother's beloved bakery afloat. But that all changes when she collides with her dream man again.

As she succumbs to their hot attraction, Polly soon realizes her bakery isn't the only thing that needs saving. Luke, driven and unyielding, will burn out unless someone convinces him to taste the sweetness of life. But can Polly remember this sugar rush is only temporary?

WARNING! Contains chocolate eclairs, skinny dipping, hard candy, hammocks, hippie music festivals, and super hot tent sex.

LOVED IT! It was perfect. And while I am no baker it made me want to learn how to make an eclair and take a stab at croissants! A MUST read!

The book drones on and on just for pages. The extra pages didn’t help the plot or story at all! The plot wasn’t very good and didn’t hold out throughout the book.
  • Awesome! Must read!

I read this book in a span of 5 days and fell in love with it!! Polly and Luke story is so beautiful and adventurous, life changing for them and the reader too. I recommend you read this book till the end! Can’t wait to read the other books in the series but I am also waiting for the whole series to come out in paperbacks because I want to own all of these in hardcopies and not cell copies! Thank you Nina Lane for these books❤️

Reading this book was a pleasure. It is well written with a touch of humor and a real romance of two people who actually see one another for who they are, yet enjoy the differences. I would say this is true romance writing. Thank you for a great book.

This was a great read and I hate it ended when it did! I know there are more parts to the book, but I need more “Peach vs. Mr. Hottie”! I couldn’t stop myself from reading & smiling! We ALL need a CEO Stone in our lives!!

I’m a pretty harsh reviewer when it comes to all books. If i don’t reach the end, then it’s not a good book. If I skip too many pages—not a good book. This book kept me intersted. The only thing I didn’t like was that the beginning was kind of quick and the middle kind of lingered. Luke and Polly meet and within minutes he is already possesive and even jealous at the thought of seeing her with someone else. Considering this is a story set in contemporary times, it doesn’t really happen that way. However, the story picks up and it has a nice ending.

I got to about 40%ish of the book then skimmed the rest. The whole build up was soooo slow. The characters weren't right for each other at all. Polly's too immature for Luke and I wasn't feeling their relationship. I think I wanted Polly to show she was inexperienced then what was written. I hope Hannah (Polly's older sister) has a damned good explanation for not dealing with their failing mother's bakery business. I'm hoping the next 2 are better especially Evan's book in book 2. I will come back to the next 2 soon bc I don't want my disappointment of this book to cloud my judgement.
  • Deliciously fun!

The first book in the Sugar Rush series, Sweet Dreams was a sugary confection of steamy fun I wished I'd discovered sooner! I loved Polly's wit and bluntness and got a kick out of Luke's protective, control freak habits. The relationship was low on angst and their chemistry was a happy concoction of fantastic, sexy sweetness that was hard to resist! Hilarious supporting characters round out an addictively engrossing read and I'm eager to read the next book in the series! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received at no cost from the author. Julie-Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
